Pizza Dough - perfect everytime!

Assalamualaikum & Salam Sejahtera,  

Selalu jugak buat Piza, anak pun suka makan, saya pun sukalah nak buat. Untuk dohnya saya selalu menggunakan resepi yang sama ni, sampai resepinya pun dah ada dalam kepala.Tapi sosnya saya cuma menggunakan sos spaggeti yang ready made...malas nak buat sendiri. Kalau tak ada stok pulak saya akan campurkan sos tomato dan sos cili dengan kuantiti yang sama, lepas tu campurkan fresh oregano dan thyme yang ada banyak kat belakang rumah tu. Bila dibakar memang naik aromanya.
Toppingnya pulak selalunya apa-apa yang sesuai yang ada di dalam peti ais tu. Selalunya sosej atau minced chicken serta hirisan bawang dan sedikit fresh basil, dan jangan lupa cheesenya. Saya gunakan cheese Mozarella. Mudahkan!


Pizza Dough
Ingredients:
       1 envelope active dry yeast
                1 cup warm water, 110° F.
              1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
              2 ¼  to 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
        2 tablespoons olive oil
               1 teaspoon salt

Preparation:

Put warm water in a cup; sprinkle yeast over water and stir in sugar; let stand for about 10 minutes, or until it begins to bubble.
Combine 2 1/4 cups flour and salt in a large bowl; pour in oil and yeast mixture and stir until a stiff dough is formed. Turn dough out onto a floured surface; knead about 5 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Add extra flour as needed to keep from sticking to hands and board.
Place in a large bowl greased with shortening or butter; turn dough over to coat the dough well. Cover with towel and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes. Dough should double in bulk. Punch down the dough and shape to fit a lightly greased pizza pan which as been sprinkled lightly with cornmeal (cornmeal ni saya skipped). Keep dough slightly thick around the edges. Fill with favorite filling and toppings and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes at 200°C. ( saya bakar selama 30 minit, suhu 165C atau hingga tepinya keperangan, saya sapukan bahagian tepinya dengan egg wash sebelum bakar).

Nota: Untuk resepi doh ini, boleh menghasilkan dua keping pizza bersaiz 9 inci.
Cheese Mozarella yang perlu dalam 200-250g.

  1. salam kak mar.. tun pon sangat suka buat n mkn pizza.. biasa base dia sapu tomato puree je.

    1. Salam Ton, akak pon kdg2 bedal tomato puri je tapi dia masam sgt..kalau dah tak de akk blend jer basil + thyme + cheese+ olive oil jadi basil pesto...:)
