Vanilla Cake (Strawberry Fillings)

Assalamualaikum & Salam Sejahtera, 

Siapa kata kek yang mudah disediakan tak mampu menarik perhatian? Jika kena gaya dan caranya kek yang simple pun boleh nampak mewah bukan saja dari segi rupa malah rasanya juga. Bagi saya  gandingan kek Vanilla dan hirisan strawberi segar serta whipped cream adalah kombinasi yang sesuai dan saling melengkapi bukan sahaja dari segi rasa malah rupanya juga.  Ditambah pula dengan hiasan buah strawberi di atas kek menampakkan kemewahan disebalik kesederhanaan kek ini.

Itulah sebenarnya objektif yang cuba saya sampaikan, semasa saya mencadangkan kepada pelanggan saya sewaktu beliau membuat tempahan dengan budget yang agak terhad.

Semasa proses menyediakan kek ini juga ada beberapa tips baru yang saya temui yang amat berguna buat saya dan juga bakers di luar sana. Tips nya ada saya kongsikan di sini baru-baru ini.

Ikuti resepi mudah kek Vanilla dan Whipped Cream Frosting ini yang saya ambil dari kedua-dua blog yang dinyatakan di bawah:-


Vanilla Cake

Ingredients:

2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup milk
3/4 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
2-1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350° F. Line two 9-inch round cake pans or one 9x13-inch rectangular baking pan with parchment paper. Grease the paper and the sides of the pan well.
In a large mixing bowl, with an electric mixer, beat sugar and eggs together until slightly thickened, about 1 minute. Add flour, milk, oil, baking powder, and vanilla and beat for another minute, just until the batter is smooth and creamy. Don't overbeat. Pour batter into the prepared baking pan(s).
Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until the tops are golden and a toothpick poked into the center of the layer comes out clean. (A single rectangular pan will take longer to bake than two round ones.) Loosen the sides of the cake from the pan with a thin knife, then turn out onto a rack and peel off the paper. Let cool completely before covering with frosting, if desired.


 

Untuk Whip Cream Frosting:

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
4 teaspoons cold water
1 cup heavy whipping cream (at least 24 hours old and very cold)
1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
1/2 teaspoon clear vanilla extract


Directions:



Combine gelatin and cold water in small saucepan. Let stand until thick. Place over low heat, stirring constantly just until gelatin dissolves. Remove from heat and cool slightly.

Whip cream, sugar and vanilla until slightly thickened. While beating slowly, gradually add gelatin to whipped cream mixture. Whip at high speed until stiff.

Cakes iced with whipped cream must be kept refrigerated. (This is the commercial recipe used by bakeries).
